As for getting in the ring with a pro fighter. My official record is now actually 3-2. I have some personal reasons I don't want to fight anymore. The main reason is my daughter. She wouldn't even hug me after the fight because she was scared.

While I generally try to jest in this forum (to abyssmal effect, mostly), let me tell you something
I have only respect and admiration for you. You have taken a road which is composed of pain and harsh training, for a life of your own choosing, and have fought profesionally, which is more that I can say. You have trained hard, and that, I think, it's a reward in itself.
Furthermore, you not only care about your lifestyle. By taking a fight and retiring, for the sake of others (especially your daughter), you have shown us how important is to keep things in persective. I mean, what is more important to oneself? A last fight to win, because of our pride, or the happiness of a daughter?
My respect for you, which was great, has increased tenfold. Please, let me extend you my compliments and tell you that if you whished that it was your last fight, that WAS a perfect last fight, and I think your daughter will value it even more that if you won, because she'll know the sacrifice you are making.
And that, I think, is more of a mark of wisdom than that which is found in many religious leaders.

    My best regards

    Federico

    couple of thoughts:

    1. need the video to gauge the aura and intention of the fighters. you didn't look 110% from these pics in terms of your readiness to pull your opponent's head off. side note - did the daughter factor already got to you?
    2. like ronin said, you fought a long time now (how long?), so you got a lot to offer to the community here and your school.
    3. once a fighter, always a fighter, but your decision with your fighting career is your call mate. it might be best choice now to take care of the family, but don't lose your edge.

see, you got respect here, so hold your chin up

Uber respect to you. You should go into Martial Arts films or perhaps porno now.

    Omega,
Yea wait til your daughter gets old enough and you can start training her. I know it feels great. ive been teaching my boy and Im taking him around to different schools who are into point fighting (He's only 10) and Hes holding his own against kids of higher rank and beating them all his own rank.
But like I said its such a rush teaching your own child you'll be really loving life.

But I have nothing but respect for you anyone who gets in the ring has a lot of balls. To me that even includes the point fighters or anyone who takes on challenges.

There are so many folks who just go to dojo-go home and repeat with out challenging themselves. I fought amature American Kickboxing and MT about 14 years ago an dude your the bomb.
Much like my son and 2 daughters, they'll respect the hell out of you when they are old enough to know whats going on.
My son thought I was all BS untill the bullies that were screwing with him (the reason he started training) really pushed it and he kicked their ass.
Anyway...Nothing but love for ya man.... Your the bomb...

    You will regret it...

I tried to retire from competition after a serious injury. I couldn't. I tried to quit after a humiliating loss. I couldn't.

I doubt you will be able to quit. You may take a break....but not quit.
