No accidental cut. That **** was intentional.

A quick newbie question: what counts as a TKO and what counts as NC? Basically, why was this match not a TKO in contrast with Kazuyuki Fujita's loss to CroCop when his face opened up?

that is a good question. Only the ruling bodies of the contest can issue a no contest of a TKO. When Igor Vovchanchyn fought Mark Kerr the first time it was ruled a NC but Igor clearly broke the rules of no kneeing to the head (Igor is my all time favorite fighter so this is not being biast), BUT the ref didn't call it so it was ruled NC. This fight, I have absolutely no idea other then the possibility of them wanting to build up to another fight that doesn't have to end due cut.

It's a NC because it came from an (accidental) illegal technique. Had it come from an upkick from Minotauro, it would've been a TKO win. If Mino intentionally headbutted him, it could be ruled a DQ win for Fedor. But since it was an accidental headbutt and Fedor was unable to continue, it was a no contest.

How was that intentional? By who? Neither of them looked like they did that on purpose at all to me.

It wasn't intentional, that is the whole point.

Nog was doing alot better than last time, but he still was not going to win. He needs to seriously rethink his approach against Fedor befoer the re-match. I hear they are going to re-match on New Years Eve to complete the fight.
