nah, some energy blasts aren't powerful enough Nih, and you need years of training to be good at flying (agility and speed). You need to be more agile than a MiG while faster than sound. That takes at least 60 years of practice.
The better thing which I suggest that you replace with punches is learn to learn how to bring down the opponent with psychic ability. The psychic jab will work on individuals while the psychic blast will stop anyone in a 20m or so radius. -

lots of fights are ended without a punch being thrown by the winner, however you do need to know pucnhing to be a complete fighter because it's a fast form of striking - maybe the fastest ans it's effective. Also if you;re going to use ground and pound (lots of grapplers/wrestlers do) then obviously fist striking is a must.
Quite a few KOs in MMA have occured via the fists - but npt nearly as many as you might think. Like in Muay Thai or kicboxing - not a majority of bouts are finished with the fists as far as Il;ve seen (lots still are though.)"Training = pain." - I said that.
