It would probably help if people included this **** in their profiles (of course, if you have 10 different profiles, that idea, of course, would be a no-go). Besides, if there was ever a thread begging for a little...ahem...'padding' on the part of the Forumites, this is it ("Yeah, four years of Judo, that sounds cool. And 3.5 years of MMA, yeah, that's the ticket).

Just remember, about the only thing you can prove on this forum is that you know how to type in English (or maybe not, in some cases).

"Trust, but verify" - Henry Kissinger
"I had once talked to Billy Conn, the boxer, about professionals versus amateurs - specifically street fighters. One had always heard rumors of champions being taken out by back-alley fighters. Conn was scornful. "Aw, it's like hitting a girl," he said. "They're nothing."

There are some ways of proving your "training" for example, my Black belt is a registered number with a TKD federation, that even you could look up.
I train with several BJJ purple belts that compete with Fabio Santos team in San Diego, they can verify that I do BJJ.

I have also trained with several people on ADCC. I can't imagine why anyone would hang out here & make up what they train in. It's not like you have to train to post here, some may just be interested.

SO- TKD still sucks, and your black belt is worthless! on the street and general knowledge.

Oh Jamoke you Joke!!! You Just Don't Get It!!! I guess you never formally trained in a school or place of learning so automatically schooled training is crap!! I'm a STREET FIGHTER gives you some authority??? Wrong!!! I agree with VARGAS, if everyone really entered truthful info on their BIO's instead of "I WILL KILL YOU" crap then this forum would have more reality to it but some of you guys think you sound tough using "I'M A STREET FIGHTER AND I WILL KILL YOU". Okay, you had a steet fight last year and you won, congratulations!!! That's not now and that's not with everyone!!! On the other hand people, If you say you trained in an art for 5 years, did you train for 5 years or did you train for a few months then stop for a year then continue a little while and drop out again??? If you received a Black Belt when you were 18 years old and have not really trained since then and at 38 you start again, you have not been training for 20 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jamoke, why don't you enlighten all of us to your exact back ground!!!
You fought Joe Blow in the street when??? Just because you have no credentials don't knock people that do, at least they earned something tough guy!!!! I know Jamoke, now you'll call me names and show us all your knowledge.

There's something I don't understand. Do all of you street fighters think that if you approached a trained fighter (TMA), do you really think we would jump into a Horseriding Stance??? Why is it that everyone thinks trained fighters can't street fight as well??? Anyone can fight dirty so don't ever under estimate anyone, ever!!!!!!

Saying you are a streetfighter is a way to for a an unconditioned, unskilled fighter to make himself think he is a tough guy. Most "street fighters" could not carry the jock strap of most trained fighters, let alone hang with them.
And that's when I figured out that tears couldn't make somebody who was dead alive again. There's another thing to learn about tears, they can't make somebody who doesn't love you any more love you again. It's the same with prayers. I wonder how much of their lives people waste crying and praying to God. If you ask me, the devil makes more sense than God does. I can at least see why people would want him around. It's good to have somebody to blame for the bad stuff they do. Maybe God's there because people get scared of all the bad stuff they do. They figure that God and the Devil are always playing this game of tug-of-war game with them. And they never know which side they're gonna wind up on. I guess that tug-of-war idea explains how sometimes, even when people try to do something good, it still turns out bad.

    LOL @ Jajoke..
Actually I don't train TKD anymore, & you may "own" a blackbelt that is worthless, mine isn't. However, if you don't feel that ANY form of TKD can be useful, for the last three years I've trained for nothing but NHB & street. As close as anyone can that is without going onto the street & kicking peoples asses.

I feel very confident in my training, how bout you?? I have an excellent standing game & my ground skills are very strong too. I have weapons training, MT, JKD....my elbows & knees are very strong.

I don't have anything to prove to you, or anyone else for that matter, and from reading your other posts, I'm not sure why I even addressed you at all.

    I'm sure she's devastated, 'moke.

Years don't mean much to me in terms of skillz, because I've seen some people "train" for 5 years and they STILL suck! I know others who train 6 months and can kill most blackbelts I know. *shrug* And intelligence/maturity/knowledge is almost completely independent of skill. On here you can ONLY evaluate the latter.

I have 26 years of training in Life-Do. For some reason I'm still a whitebelt though...;P
