    Another good exercise is to hold a 20kg plate with one hand , throw it up, and catch it with the other hand.

    Hanging single handed from a pull up bar,

    Push ups on your fingertips.

    I use a grip ball all the time when I'm bored, I just squeeze it with my hand or drive my fingertips into it. It's a great way to keep myself awake in my lame labs. Also like Fitts said, screw using any type of workout gloves or wraps. Wraps and gloves are for pussies. At my gym they're always worn by the college kids trying to look fashionable while "powerlifting" on the Cybex machines.

    Old school rockclimbing exercise:

    Put a pvc pipe around your pullup bar so that it can freely rotate. Do pullups as usual. When this gets too easy do it with your thumbs on the same side as your fingers. Work up to progressively larger pipes.

    If you include a lot of free weight exercises (dumbells, barbells) instead of those fucking machines in your strength training regimen, you get grip training for free.
