Boxing Rant: What´s wrong with the U.S.?

Allright, this is no news, I know. I just happened to watch the De la Hoya-Sturm fight. It it´s clear for anybody with eyes in the face and brains in the head tha Sturm clearly won. He outboxed the Golden Boy since the first rounds. DLH may hav won a couple of rounds, but Sturm won the fight and nobody can say other thing without lying.
So DLH was the promoter of the fight, so what? does this give him the title? Oh, yeah, you´re the one who puts the money, so here´s the title... Bullshit, when it comes to fighting nothing else matters, the best wins and Sturm really did beat the crap of of his face (you should have seen DLH bleeding).
These are the things that are killing boxing, and you know, I used to like DLH.
So what was this all about? It´s a trick to keep the titl in the united states? It´s a matter of bucks and not a matter of fgists? I suppose next time let´s just see who has the bigger bank account and give him the title without fighting... Yeah, Bill Gates the next heavyweutgh champion of the world.
On a final note, I´m not German nor I like german boxers. Most of them are soooo boring (in fact, most of european boxing is sooooo boring). But what is fair, is fair.
Sorry if I´m not making myself as clear as I want to, I´m quite upset now.

anyone else notice DLH's shorts looked like they were 2-3 sizes too small?
I thought the fight was obviously in Strum's favor, but as Jenfucious so elegantly put it

"nobody gives a crap about strum"

if he wanted a win, he shoulda gone for the knockout in the last round :P

I don´t beleive Sturm could KO´d DLH if he wanted to. German boxers are not known for their punch power, and rarely the do for the KO. Still, it was a robbery.

Not that hopkins did a great macht too. The best fight, doubtless, was Lazcano vs. Castillo.
