*sniff* You ask J-kid where he studies Vale Tudo, you ask Jking where he studies Kaju, but do you give a damn where I've studied?!
It's because there's no J in my screen name isn't it?!

Hehe, actually, I think it'd be better if I didn't say. I suck so much that I wouldn't want to give my school bad publicity =P

Style: Kajukenbo, BJJ
East west martial arts in Vancouver, WA. Its in hazel dell area (if you know where that is) Run by Doug Bertrand. We have one of the biggest kids programs I've ever heard of, which is part of the "united professionals." (they dont teach kajukenbo to the kids). The adult program is either a)kajukenbo or b) krav maga. I've only done krav for a month now.
I would like to note, however, that earlier this year our school was "kicked out" of our branch because we changed too much. (if you look a few months back to a thread, I was lectured by one of the older (and old!) black belts about how grappling wouldn't work. Something our school does teach loosely). Again, hijacking another thread (mostly because its been on my mind so much recently) kajukenbo is going down a very bad path. It used to be about effectivity and doing what works - breaking out of tradition and using the best techniques that could be found. Now its about tradition, doing forms, and making the classes as easy as possible for the students. I'm glad I'm at the school I am though, and I hope to, in at least some small way, bring kajukenbo the way it should be.
