    Ok, I think it has come down to either kickboxing or muay thai. Wich of these is to be preferred?

    What advantages does MT have over kickboxing?

    muay thai has elbows, knees and low kicks.

    Actually I dont think elbows are legal in sweden... Aren't there knees in kickboxing? I have a friend who trains it and he says they practice knees too..? As for the low kicks, I dont really give a **** actually. I want kicks that do damage (to the head or upper body), not tactical ****.

    well you will have to visit the school and find out which is better for you. muay thai teachs you to kick harder and kickboxing gives you a lot of combos.

    You cannot go wrong with MT! be sure you get good instruction not just someone who likes and watches the sport.
