It's possible that you might get a better turnout if your date didn't conflict with UFC® 49: Unfinished Business.
There may be a few people (like me, for example) who'd like to attend but have already made plans for the fight that evening. It's also possible that at least one or two who've already expressed interest didn't realize that the fight was the same day and will reluctantly withdraw. For locals it's probably not much of an issue, but if you have to drive more than an hour or two (or seven for me) then it kills the rest of the day...
I don't see a conflict with Sept. 11th, though my attendance will depend heavily on if I'm visiting San Antonio that weekend. If so, I'd be likely to make the trip.

Shotgun Wrestling Alliance is having a show the same night @ 7, they want me to come do ring announcing that night (which means I'll probably end up wrestling for whatever dumbass doesn't show up). If any one coming wants to stick around for that, let me know, I should be able to swing tickets.

Bumping and making a final call:
Antagony and Shady, I'm still game if you are. I am now definitely doing the show on the 21st. Also, one of my local guys who was going to make it hurt his back and is having to back out.
If you guys come, we are on, if not, I will cancel.
Either way I am going to try to kae the next one in San Antonio.

Ok, I've gotten more of a response to the Sept. 11th date being better. Let's try that one, unless it will conflict with the next San Antonio Throwdown, in which case, I will just make that one.
So, No throwdown the 21st. But there is still the show, so people should be able to watch me come get my ass kicked anyway, since I haven't won a match in three years.

Ack... sept 11 = arkansas vs. ut game, in arkansas.....
Im here this weekend (21, 22) and then gone for the next 2 weekends. The 18th looks good, and if anyone is in town this weekend and wants to throwdown a bit, let me know. My email is in the central texas throwdown thread.

Ok, Throwdown was cancelled. But I still got to wrestle, rain pushed the show back to Sunday (I hate outdoor venues).
The pic is of me (on the left) and Atomic Punk, whom I wrestled. Back in 2001 he was a 140 lb, 16 year old kid who wanted to be a pro. I helped train him, and three years later he's put on 100 pounds of muscle (he's just over 250) and he can pick me up with one arm and toss me like I toss around my daughter.
Anyway, in keeping with me streak, I still haven't "won" a match since I "lost" my title in 2001.
Had a geat time though. Got mat burn so bad on my left shoulder it ripped the skin open and my neck is a bit sore from a pile driver. I also realized my wind isn't as good as it used to be, but I am definitely looking forward to stepping in the ring again.
Anyway, even with the rain, we had a good turn out and were able to raise a good chunk of money for Emily to help pay her bills. So it looks like everybody wins.
