Thanks for the link, Ming Loyalist.

I had heard things like that, but it's good to see them on a seemingly reputable site.

It's not friendly to eat too much cholesterol. Especially if you have a genetic predisposition to high cholesterol.

most cholestrol you'll find in foods is worthless ****. But HDL cholestrol helps you metabolise fats. If you're working out hard and eating cholestorol, it's probably not so bad in the long run, I hear.

Shadow - check out Ultra Mart on Stone, their tuna and salmon prices DO fluctuate, but when you notice it is cheaper go buy a bunch. Talk to me more on prices on MSN, and I'll be shopping for stuff to cook this semester.

    Ming Loyalist - Interesting.
    Your joking right?

Ultra is the most expensive place, because they are 24 hrs, and know they can milk the students in the area, who don't have transportation.

My sources are looking a little one sided aren't they? but check them out, they're good reads for people that think soy is the best thing since sliced bread.

If you're really eating mostly HDL then that could be right, but you probably aren't, since most foods that have cholesterol have mostly bad cholesterol.

But as I said, genetics play a big role in your cholesterol levels.

I've still found protein powders to be the cheapest. Since the amount you need is usually less than their recommended serving, it should work out to be about a dollar per. I buy big thingees and get a discount, so I only pay about half that.

Tuna can be cheap, but it's not something that you want to eat every single day (never mind the mercury content, it's just the taste). Eggs are pretty good, not to mention being one of the most well-rounded proteins out there. I splurge for the free-range, natural ones, since I'm not partial to extra hormones, pesticides or antibiotics. They cost a little over a dollar a serving. Regular eggs are 50 cents or so (per serving of three).
