Yeah, it is scary to think that even a monster like Rhadi didn't even make it far in the Olympics.
And that's when I figured out that tears couldn't make somebody who was dead alive again. There's another thing to learn about tears, they can't make somebody who doesn't love you any more love you again. It's the same with prayers. I wonder how much of their lives people waste crying and praying to God. If you ask me, the devil makes more sense than God does. I can at least see why people would want him around. It's good to have somebody to blame for the bad stuff they do. Maybe God's there because people get scared of all the bad stuff they do. They figure that God and the Devil are always playing this game of tug-of-war game with them. And they never know which side they're gonna wind up on. I guess that tug-of-war idea explains how sometimes, even when people try to do something good, it still turns out bad. -

He didn't even come close. He only won 1 match.

That was always a big criticism of Rhadi...all muscle, no technique. But that was uaully from pansies who could never do something like that.
Judo is about getting the ippon. The Europeans do it alot different than the Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, etc., but in the end if you get the score, who cares how it's done.Regardless, that doesn't change the fact that kickboxing is commonly known as fighting while grappling simply isn't. - Osiris -

It's threads like this, and the "Olympic Judo kinda sucks" thread that really make me laugh.
The vid posted at the top is typical of dickhead Judo. Try that against the Japanese, and you'll get a specialist Uchimata counter.
Note that Ferguson looks up and celebrates. Why? Just because the guy went up in the air? The opponent landed on his side. Some judges would have given a waza-ari, and the other guy could have carried on and thrown him.
I can't understand the mentality of some people on this site commenting on Judo when they don't really know what is involved. First we have a chorus of "Olympic Judo is ****" followed by a vid of some of the most blantant contest-oriented "Grab-a-leg-and-hope", and this is followed by a chorus of how wonderful it all is.
Listen to Greese -(a judoka, no surprise) Ferguson got nowhere. The real bad men don't mess about like that. They're the one's who can do stand up Judo and use big throws. -
