Thread: Joint Attacks

Inspired by the 90% crap thread :)
Joints you have broken.
and, if you want to include it, neck.
I have had my need busted up in soccer, it hurt like a bitchy-bitch !!
I have broken a knee/shin with a cross kick/stomp.
Broken a wrist with a few wrist locks
Elbows, never broken but have dislocated a few.
Ankles, nope, but I did see one get broken by a friend of mine while helping some cops subdue a few losers at Joker the nightclub in Toronto.
Shoulders, have dislocted a few.
Now, the ONLY joint broken/damaged by a strike was the knee, the rest where all locks/twists.

well let's see,
badly bruised knee cap (fell hiking and got very lucky) could barely walk for six weeks
torn ligaments both ankles
torn ligaments or cartilege (not sure, sick of doctors) in knee
sprains and bruises too numerous to even bother with
oh yeah, i fell off a mountain bike one time and went face first into a guard rail, and i was on a bridge so the guard rail saved me from dying (don't ask)

Thankfully, my aikido has never been so bad that I've broken anyone elses joints - but I did have someone claim I dislocated their shoulder (they fell badly), does that count?

I broke my rib when someone kicked me (and it was a weak kick) - the missus was really pissed off with me for that (really hurt and despite being a manly type I secretly whined in bed trying to gain sexual favour - but to no avail)
Broken a toe between two mats - really annoying
Dislocated a thumb punching someone (my poor technique and I keep catching it when we do applications drills etc)
Had a friend whine that I dislocated his jaw - homo :)
A training partner broke his toe grappling with me (his fault)

Broke a finger punching without gloves on(I'm a moron)
Broke a toe with a round kick(sparring, my partner stepped back, full force of the kick, centered on my toe)
Dislocated a shoulder grappling(was taken down, but due to stupidity on my part, both our body weights landed on my shoulder, god did that hurt)Seriously, most likely grabbing somebodies crotch like that is only going to make your situation much, much worse. Unless the person doing the gullotine has no pants on, then it's okay as long as they bought you dinner first. - Kidnemo

I never broke nuttin on nobody. But like you said, these things happen more when puttin on t3h gr4ppl3!!!
I mostly just hit people.....do sprained wrists count from when you kick someone hard enough that they stumble and fall and land poorly?
I think I may have been responsible for a sprained ankle that way once or twice too.
