Its ridiculous the level of many of the responses that was made. Most of the responses were nothing but smack talk. Hardly constructive, mainly pompous remarks and not much intelligence or thought went into it. Most of them were not elaborated upon and shallow.

If I lived in the states, I'd love to do some training with you. But I don't. Also, I practice BJJ, and am not entirely ignorant of their training methodologies. (BJJ being similar to judo, no?)

    Basically.

    1. I don't practice chi sau standing still.
    2. Chi sau is a drill / exercise, not a fighting technique.
    3. Learning how to control someone IS applicable to fighting.
    4. Learning how to relax IS applicable to fighting.
    5. Learning to have good balance IS applicable to fighting.
    6. Chi sau is used to improve these things.

Of course chi sau is a drill. I NEVER said it wasnt.

"3. Learning how to control someone IS applicable to fighting.
    4. Learning how to relax IS applicable to fighting.
    5. Learning to have good balance IS applicable to fighting."

    I NEVER said it wasnt.

Boxers, kick boxers and Muay Thai guys have good balance too. Do they do chi sau?

Just because it's a different training method doesn't make it ineffective.

The main differences between kodokan judo and BJJ is that BJJ focus more on newaza (leaving kosen aside etc.). BJJ stand up throws arsenal sucks compare to Kodokan Judo. Another thing Judo focus alot more on kuzushi, tsukuri, ayumi ashi, tsagi ashi etc. So they do have alot more practice with balance.

Do you have video proof for this? What are the exact, official statistics? Hehe.

First of all you havnt answer my question in regarding to how many years you been into the martial arts.
Actually they did numerous test alot of it was witness by Col. Nick Rowe from Fort Bragg (in Georgia). He founded the S.E.R.E. escape program for those who dont know. I believe a cun ton practitioner was calculated to move with 6880 lbs of pressure (100lbs of body weight at 25 miles per hour within three feet). I beleive test were also conducted at Duke University as well.
(The rest I wont talk about as KunTaoKid (board member) would kill me for saying it in public.) But if we do meet we can put on boxing gloves and compare the speed of a single wing chun strike to a particular cun ton strike. I'm willing to walk the talk on that.

I guess all those UFC fights, San Shou fights etc are rigged then?
I guess all those fights I've witness in my neighbourhood must have been some elaboarte hoax huh?

And its funny that you edit my comment out of context. You forgot to add " ... or clinch" (to quote myself).
