I think a lot of people believe it is fighting, and you get crap comments like " In a real fight you and your opponent wont be at touch distance for any long length of period" or whatever.

The childrens self defense and the womens self defense, not to mention the "multiple attackers" part, was ridiculous and bordering on criminal.

There was nothing wrong with the womens self defence I thought. Every strike she did was quite powerful.
I agree partly with the comment about the kids, except that the guy really punched her, hard and she really kicked him in the balls. She'd still get her arse kicked though...
They were demonstrations.
Yes, well, cute tricks or not... they demonstrate power and structure.

You think she sould pull that off on 6-2 230lbs attacker/criminal bent on beating her to a pulp and raping her ass?

thats not what it was demonstrating. A guy tried to hit her, she hit him instead. some of those strike would have been pretty damn hard if they connected. Sure, not anyone would be able to pull it off, but i think the lady in question has been training over 10 years.

**** it, as I said, they are just demos.

Yes they are demos, I know that, we ALL know that.
Demos are suppose to show the best that a school has to offer, they certainly are NOT suppose to show the worst right?
So, that fact that they are demos makes it that much worse.
