High school wrestling deaths in America ?

O.k now. A friend of mine was telling me about a documentry he saw on television. It was about the death of a high chool wrestler who was very good and the negative effects their harsh training can have on their bodies.

The point being made was that they would workout in really heated gym rooms in order to loose alot of weight in a dangerously short space of time. Can anyone provide further information on this.

Quick stimulation of the penis results in ejaculation.

(P.S. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that such individuals are training like helmeted retards)

Much like boxers, the training regimen of collegiate/scholastic/olympic/folkstyle wrestlers is archaic.

No one can deny that it works, but no one exactly concedes that it's safe.

Anything works when compared to nothing.
The biggest problem is, and always has been, making the weight.
The always diet and sweat off the pounds to meet the LOWER weight.
    I guess size matters.

I saw the end of it. With the "dramatic" brief dropping part to make weight. Wrestling the guy who was supposed to be state champ, and using poor standup technique on him. It was amusing.

This is exactly what my lil bro was telling me about. He does wrestling and they make them train in heated gyms. They actually turn up the heat and close all the doors when they train. He said it gets to like 115 degrees because of added body heat from all the kids. When they desperately need to make weight, they put a plastic bag over their bodies so they can sweat off the weight(kinda like a sona suit), and they spit alot.

That's the kind of wrestling practices I remember. The stats/mat maids had to mop up the puddles of sweat on the mat during practice just so we didn't slip and blow out our knees or ankles.

What they said, additionally I recall an article on three wrestlers (the issue was "Is Creatine safe?") but they had actually died of dehydration....

    Silly if you ask me...
