kod is right, but even still it is strange......."Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration." -A. Lincoln

I taped the fight and watched is several times to see what actually happened. None of those kicks seemed to land solidly although obviously the either hurt, worried, or annoyed Jackson enough that he took defensive measures against them. When Quinton's head is on Arona's stomach, his eyes are open, they appear alert, and he appears to be saying something. You can't call him "unresponsive" because there wasn't anything to respond to. The ref wasn't asking him anything and Arona stopped striking. I don't think he was ko'd or even woozy, I just think he was giving himself a little rest.I was just watching this fight and with 5:50 remaining Arona hit Jackson with the heel of his foot a few times and seems to knock Jackson out. He was unresponsive and his head was laying on Arona's stomach, and Arona was pointing at his head and yelling at the ref who just stood there. The ref didn't call anything, and Jackson went on to win the fight with the slam that knocks out Arona which I'm sure everyone has seen. Anyone else see that and think he got knocked out? -

He was clearly not out.
And that's when I figured out that tears couldn't make somebody who was dead alive again. There's another thing to learn about tears, they can't make somebody who doesn't love you any more love you again. It's the same with prayers. I wonder how much of their lives people waste crying and praying to God. If you ask me, the devil makes more sense than God does. I can at least see why people would want him around. It's good to have somebody to blame for the bad stuff they do. Maybe God's there because people get scared of all the bad stuff they do. They figure that God and the Devil are always playing this game of tug-of-war game with them. And they never know which side they're gonna wind up on. I guess that tug-of-war idea explains how sometimes, even when people try to do something good, it still turns out bad. -

What does this have to do with Pride working fights, te no kage? Does pride sit there and think of ways to make their fights look fishy while working them? You don't know what's what. Also: he was obviously not out. He was speaking. Watch the replay. Only one of the kicks even landed well, and NONE of the heels hit him. The ball of the foot hit him once. They were cool kicks though, and he should've kept wacking away, he might've done some damage.

Actually, after watching the fights again yesterday, I don't think so either, but sometimes I like to stir the pot. Am I getting to you? I bet you never watch Pride the same way ever again. It's like when I told my wife about all the gay innuendos in Top Gun, now she'll never be able to watch it again without thinking about it. I watched Fedor/Randleman again, damn that Fedor is awesome, he's so incredibly mobile on the ground.
