I have heard not-so-favorable stuff from attractive females who have taken a class there (figure it out).
"You know what I like about you, William? You like guns AND meditation."

Good Muay Thai gyms in East Bay:
Team Cheetah, Ercivan's Amsterdam Gym, Pacific Muay Thai with Mike Regnier
for MMA try Open door BJJ with Sergio.
Ercivan, Cheetah have been coaching Muay Thai in the Bay Area since 1980's Mike started his own gym a year ago but was a former Fairtex Fighter so he should know what he is talking about a little.
Ercivan has fought in the Bay Area extensively in his younger years as well as in Europe, Cheetah is a Thai champion with more than a hundred fights. Mike fought the K1 circuit.
Talking with Cheetah and Ercivan on seperate occasions they both agree that in this business people come and go and therefore the new student must prove him or herself first through hard training before they can expect complete attention from the Chief Intructors! Fighters ususally have been training for years so here you go pay your dues!
Don't even bother with West Wind schools might as well get a video instead and learn by yourself. Unless you like to pay 10 grand a year for getting yelled at by a black belt instructor wearing cowboy boots... how do they get away with it?
Modern Combatives also a good place to train.

Yes you are right those Dutch love their beer, women and their Muay Thai! I trained at Fairtex and got hit on by some very attractive guys. Can't stand training clinch techniques in San Francisco!
The place to train: www.amsterdamgym.com yes Amsterdam as in sin city Amsterdam...but they will kiss you first and knock you out later.
