Yeah, but it was all fat.
I am now down to 220 and am only training once a week.
I suck now.And that's when I figured out that tears couldn't make somebody who was dead alive again. There's another thing to learn about tears, they can't make somebody who doesn't love you any more love you again. It's the same with prayers. I wonder how much of their lives people waste crying and praying to God. If you ask me, the devil makes more sense than God does. I can at least see why people would want him around. It's good to have somebody to blame for the bad stuff they do. Maybe God's there because people get scared of all the bad stuff they do. They figure that God and the Devil are always playing this game of tug-of-war game with them. And they never know which side they're gonna wind up on. I guess that tug-of-war idea explains how sometimes, even when people try to do something good, it still turns out bad. -

I'd only be available for weekends too, not that anybody knows who I am. Seems like you guys are the closest to me here in Tulsa that are trying to organize ****. Hope we can work something out.
Hey greese, I started training with Martin Bregman two weeks ago, he seems to know his ****. Do you usually come down to Tulsa for tourneys? I think he said we're hosting one in October.Regardless, that doesn't change the fact that kickboxing is commonly known as fighting while grappling simply isn't. - Osiris -

I'd definitely go to a Branson or Springfield Throwdown (I live in Springfield). And I'm just a fucking mook who will no doubt get owned all day long. ****, I just want the chance to spare with some skilled cats. I think that's the only way to get better, spare with people better than you.

Forgive the "noobness" for a moment and bear with me:
What exactly goes on at a Throwdown? I assume they'll be discussion, exchange of ideas, maybe demonstrate some technique, and hopefully beer afterwards.
I haven't sparred in a long, long time. And even then it was pretty light. So I may need some coaching at first.
If this big Throwdown doesn't get off the ground, is there anyone in the Springfield area that would be interested in regular sparring sessions, like say a couple times a month? I'm just a lowly white belt, but I would appreciate the experience. -
