Site Changes!

In the next two weeks we're going to completely cut over to the Bullshido "title", and we're dropping the "McDojo" addresses (.com, .net) as part of a deal we've worked out with... well, take a wild guess.

Anyway, it's up to you to get the word out to the folks around the world that are linking to the site. None of the content or format is changing, just the URLs.

From now on, you will be able to access the site at the following URLs:

And coming soon,

www.Bullshido.com.

Thanks for your support in making this site the fastest growing Martial Arts website on the net, and helping us bring respect back to the Martial Arts community in our very first year.

We've been working on several ways of saying "Thank you" to our more active members, and you should be seeing more to follow on this shortly.

Can't you leave up mcdojo for a while and force it to redirect to bullshido? Have one of those transition pages, etc.?

It could be as simple as, "the site you are trying to access has moved to...."

Seems to me this would help.

We agreed to inactivate the McDojo realm by the end of the year. We already have the url forwarding in place, it's just transparent to everyone, and masked in your url bar.

It's just a name, so it really doesn't matter that much. We'll still be discussing mcdojos, still be working toward setting standards for the martial arts, and still have the same stuff on the site.

We're going to be putting out a newsletter to everyone shortly that will explain what's going on.

Hey, guys, it's not exactly a matter of choice. I mean, I prefer McDojo too but I don't think all of us together pooling our resources could take on the people Phrost's talking about. We're just lucky they didn't sue him and throw us off the net.

I too like "McDojo" better, but I don't see how the name itself can interfer with THAT logotype... The message is clear enough:) Why not changing the McDojo banner to smth else, if that's what it's all about.
