Anyone who thinks any pride after pride 2 was fixed is an idiot, bad hometown judging okay but fixed hell no. Some of the stand ups I have questioned (rampage after he just cut silva) but there's noone taking dives. Have you ever seen a boxing match that was a work? They don't get near as fucked up as these guys do. Just look at the post fight pictures, noone gets paid enough to take the punishment you claim they do. This is ridiclous!

I would say SOME PRIDE fights are fixed, I think the Igor and Valentin Overeem find in Cold Fury 2 was fixed. Igor was coming off a losing streak, Valentin is a grappling master, and Igor heelhooked him, while Valentin just sat there, no rolling no nothing. And igor even let go and re-adgusted his grip and stil Valentin sat there until Igor cranked the heelhook and he tapped.

    I was TOTALLY dissapointed.

watch the fight, they sit there for fifteen second and overeem doesn't stryggle, kick, roll, grab igor's foot, or even MOVE, the entire time even when Igor LET'S GO OF HIS LEG, no movement until the heel is cranked.

that is pretty fixed to me.

I haven't seen this stuff, but even in fixed pro-wrestling, the Japanese have a bit different idea of how it's supposed to look like than WWF... I think there was some year 2 people were killed in Japanese WOMEN's 'fake' pro wrestling (one was 'Plum Mariko', if you want to check it out). ... So just because it's dangerous doesn't necessarily mean it isn't fixed.

Lay off the crack pipe, get some sleep, and re-watch the fights in slow motion.

    They were NOT works.

I've got one hand over the monitor because I don't want to see the results, I'm renting the dvd from a japanese video shop when they get it in and I don't want to know who wins!

LAst night I rentedd Pride Bushido 3, from May this year. (I think.)

I was quite surprised by some of the results there. Perhaps someone can shed some light on them. Why was the decision given to Ryan Gracie in Ryan vs. Ikuhisa Minowa? Minowa beat the crud out of him for 75% of the fight, controlled it and neutralised most of Ryan's onslaughts.

I was very surprised when the decision went the other way. But afterwards, as Ryan challenged Sakuraba and Yoshida, a thought came... That more people would pay to watch another Gracie vs Sak rematch than they would to see Sak fight Minowa.

    Thoughts?

    Sure.

You need to lay off the crack pipe.

If you re-watch the fight, you will see that Ryan dominated two out of three rounds.

Actually, if it was me judging, I would have scored it a draw. However, if I had to pick a winner, it would be Ryan.
