When I inquired about their history, the grandmaster said they are basically TKD/Hapkido. Apparently, the grandmaster learned TKD and Hapkido from relatives and has been studying for a very long time. He would not go more in depth than that.

He also owns and runs the Federation and they have tournaments. He also teaches this stuff at the local University (CSUS--California State University Sacramento).

Also, I found out that grandmaster owns and runs a fast food restaurant in town here. I patronized a chinese take out place and grandmaster was in there flipping burgers. I was surprised and I did say hi and talked to him there. That was a weird experience. Fierce grandmaster flipping burgers and making fried rice!? WOW
[SARCASM]Ooooooh, he teaches at SAC STATE?!? That hallowed institution? He MUST be legit.[/SARCASM]

What's a Korean grandmaster doing flipping hamburgers in a Chinese restaurant? What restaurant is it? I might pay a visit.

Superb Burger on Watt Avenue by the old McClellan AFB (accross the street in the same shopping center as the Subway).

Because they all migrated there. :) They have them everywhere, but LA and NY have the largest Korean population around.
