Look on his home page at the graphic with the korean flag. It says

"I would like to extend my warmest wishes and greatings to the members, families, and all who aspire to be a part of the MARITAL ARTS community."

What is the marital arts? Is that the same as beating your wife?

It seems that the grandmaster does not really care about the art very much. He basically just sells his videos and training DVDs at inflated prices and does "DISTANCE EDUCATION." One of the instructors that owns an affiliated school even does not call his style TKMS in his dojang. He basically does several different arts.

When I inquired about their history, the grandmaster said they are basically TKD/Hapkido. Apparently, the grandmaster learned TKD and Hapkido from relatives and has been studying for a very long time. He would not go more in depth than that.

He also owns and runs the Federation and they have tournaments. He also teaches this stuff at the local University (CSUS--California State University Sacramento).

Also, I found out that grandmaster owns and runs a fast food restaurant in town here. I patronized a chinese take out place and grandmaster was in there flipping burgers. I was surprised and I did say hi and talked to him there. That was a weird experience. Fierce grandmaster flipping burgers and making fried rice!? WOW

Ok..this guy is pretty much 1 of 2 things. 1) He took some TKD as a kid in Korea and then a relative gave him belts to open a school and make money. 2) He is a gangpae graduate (one who graduated from Yongin Uni. home of the TKD/HKD degree.) Either way, it is crap. Again, good work.
