Style: BJJ, Karate,
I train mostly kickboxing now. I'm also a blue belt in BJJ and a black belt in karate.
I think the UFC was the best thing to happen to martial arts in about 500 years.

cool do you think karate is woth anything?

Well SOME karate is good. I personally like the round kicks from Kyokushin BETTER than Muay Thai. On top of that Kyokushin fighters spar bare knuckle only. Alot of those guys go on to K-1 and deo really well. Overall I think that the average person would have to train straight karate about 10 times more than the average grappling student to be as effective. Theres just too many holes in the style and its theories.

what's a kyokushin round kick like? what things are wrong with kyokushin?

Kyokushin chambers their leg before kicking and brings it over and DOWN in a whip like motion. They also PIVOT on their supporting leg as opposed to stepping out first, like in MT. The MT version may be a little stronger but its also slower and stepping out your leg taks a little time and needs to be set up.
One of the biggest problems with Kyokushin is that they don't practice any hand strikes to the head while sparring. Mas Oyama thought if he allowed that then eventually he would be forced to make allowances for pads and he felt that would change what Kyokushin was all about.
I think Kyokushin is the pinnacle of what a traditional martial art should be.

"Kyokushin chambers their leg before kicking and brings it over and DOWN in a whip like motion."
so they "telegraph" their kicks?

Bruce Lee would say: "Man, because he is a creative individual, is far more important than any style or system."
To change with change is the changeless state.

They don't telegraph them at all. You wouldn't understand because you have no experience in anything like this.

Judo-Kid apparently wanted to try and prove a point by saying that Karate is ****. Since he believe I am 100% Karate.
Now it back fired since you yourself have taken karate and no something about it.
I don't want to try and give a huge explination on why Judo-Kid is so immature when it comes to him wanting to say that UFC is the ****.
But I'll just let him keep talking.
I'll make one when I can find one I like.
