Seems to have some good ideas,
NO!
but why use catch wrestling, boxing, and jun fan, then call it ninjutsu?
Because Ninjutsu doesn't exist!
I wonder who certified him as a "9th Degree Master"...
Himself!

"Art of Combat was founded in 1981 and the Kamiyama Dojo in 1997 by Ralph Severe. Ralph has over 35 years experience in martial arts, has been promoted by Masaaki Hatsumi to the Eight Level (hachidan, 1992) black belt in authentic Japanese Ninpo Taijutsu and is an Ninth Level (kudan, 2002) black belt in authentic Japanese Budo Taijutsu and also holds black belts in 6 other martial arts(which two were privileged). Professor Severe is considered a guide and not "the master" at the Dallas Ninjutsu Academy although he has a "masters license" in the Japanese martial arts. His approach to training students is very relaxed with a lot of heart and energy. His generosity to his students with information is unusual when it comes to martial art instructors. He has a pragmatic straightforward personality that cuts to the point that has earned him the respect from his peers for being very honest. He is committed to his way of life, his art, his journey and to the students in the Dojo. Even though he is a student of the Bujinkan Dojo under Masaaki Hatsumi, he founded the authentic ninjutsu school called "Kamaiyama ninpo happo biken dojo" in 1997."
Straight from the website....heh.

The instructor pictures are great...all I can say about this guy is when he and Ashida were training together on the mountain, he must have stolen all of Ashida's food. That would explain a great deal looking at the two of them.

None of my dogs are in this one, but Severe posts quite often on E-Budo and our very own Asia had this to say about him and his school (look for Asia's post on Page 4).
