SamHarber I finally agree with you about that.

Judo-Kid doesn't know what he is talking about, he bases everything on the UFC which can't actually show reality in the fact those guys train like months at a time and its all they do.

So for him to say that a certain style is **** becuase they don't use it in the UFC is ignorant.

That is why I make fun of you Judo-Kid your a 130lb 16 year old who thinks he can ground and pound? Seriously please stfu.
I'll make one when I can find one I like.

Actually on the topic of this thread:

The few female (or is that wemen) boxing matches that I've seen have been rather unimpressive. The ability to throw a good punch and do so consistently seemed to be lacking.

I'm not saying that women can't fight (I've met several who can) or that I could take those women boxers, I'm just curious why the hell the supposed best in their weight divisions are so piss-poor technically (they’re certainly tough and showing great determination)?

Everyone here says it shouldn't take years to learn a style and that boxing and mt etc, etc are quickly learned maybe need to reanalyze what they are saying in this context. To fully integrate the skills learned so that they are what are fallen back on I’d think takes a lot longer than commonly thought.

I remember one heavyweight fight in particular, it was ugly in every way possible. Have I just not seen quality matches? These were on HBO and ESPN.

"The girls would probably be forced to wear skimpy outfits and would eventually turn into something like the WWE. Just my opinion, of course."

Kee-rist. The men in ufc already wear skimpy outfits. Wish I'd bought stock in Speedo(tm).

I wonder how much of a homosexual audience the ufc pulls in. Large scantily clad men grabbing each other. If it were women (and they weren’t large) I’d tune in!

There are a few good women boxers, Jane Couch from the UK springs to mind, and I don't think she's lost to another UK fighter yet.

I think if you compare the women boxers to the men, then their technique will probably look a little sloppy, but it's still better than most women trying to throw a punch.

As long as it isn't some Jerry Springer BS then I would have no problem with it.
