Since I have short legs, I can't triangle very well and I try to get a "omoplata" on the arm more than a triangle, sometimes I use the triangle to bring the guy in for a Somali Nose pick, but those are far and few between (sighs).
As for getting out of a triangle, I am from the old school of: "don't get caught to begin with".

I was thinking about this more, and don't simply run forward at them when you're trying to stack. PULL them into you (and you can move forward too, but it makes you more vulnerable for a sweep). It really puts all the weight onto their neck, and not simply their shoulder blades. They can still finish you, but it's worth a try.

Grip your hands together push your arm over so you can make sure he can't pull your arm over. this will also keep you at elbow length away and breathing. His legs will tire and bcome unlocked then stack and turn. See Yoshida vs Silva. Watch for the straight armbar right after though.
