    Hello. I was wondering if anybody knew if Toronto has a sambo school.

    Those guys don't do sambo, do they? I imagine that aspects of it are integrated into their curriculum, but would be very surprised they taught it seperately.

    I got it off a Sambo site. *shrug* They're the only russian MA I know of in the area.

    Crimson - I've been to the school like a year ago. I didn't like it.

    It's not sambo and the teacher seems very suspicious and an ass. He doesn't explain stuff to students and the training is way too slow. Plus, they don't teach sambo.

    IMO he's just playing on the hype that soviets had and it's not as great as he claims to be. You have to talk to him to feel the vibe.

    Why Sambo ???
    If it that hard to find a school, forget it.
    There are plenty of other places to go to.
    If its grappling, join a GJJ school or a judo school, you won't have to worry about the "quality" if you join a legit school.
