make a list of the things you want to accomplish later in life (preferably academically) and stick to that list religiously, just in case your head takes a pummeling and you start imitating mike tyson:

"I resthpect him as a fighter, but I'm definitly going to make orphans of his children."
"You DO know that the champ is married"
"Yeth, but I assthumed his wife would die from gwief."

    and

    "My defence is IMPREGNABLE"

    and

"I'm going to eat his children!"

    lol

anyhow, I'm interested in boxing so tell me how it goes, send me a pm sometime afterwards or post on the board :D

Ask your coach and don't overtrain. Doing extra outside of class without telling him may not help at all.

    first: 3 or 4 or 6 rounds?

Second, whatever your coach tells you, do.
You may want to go easy on sparring the last few wrokouts, so as to not risk and stupid injury.
Up the bag work and the focus mitt work, specially the mitt work.

    On a side note:
Go to the body, you may not get any points, but it'll hurt him like crazy.
Flurry your ass off at the end of each round with head shots, its allways good to finish each round strong and get the points from the "blind mice".

I'm running a 10 minute warm up, then 10 minutes HIIT sprints 30 second on 3O seconds off, then 10 minutes jogging, then 2 minutes hard one minute off 4 times, 10 minues jogging again, lastly 10 minutes HIIT thirty second intervals for a total of 62 minutes every day.

Also on MWF I cardio kickbox (with bag) for 45 minutes then stretch and abs for 15 minutes. TTHSat are formal boxing class.

throw alot of punches. work on throwing combos. punches in bunches. you have to hit him twice as much as h hits you. even if they dont land square. the judges will give you the nod because you swung more.

3 sets of squats 30 each (no wieght)
3 sets of lunges 30 both sides
    3 rounds of jump rope
*do you see a patern here?
3 rounds of duck unders (learnin how to moe your head)

Finish with 3 rounds of shadow boxing.
