i've read them. That Jim Lacy one's good. But I still hate you. You are close minded. For godot's sake you quote star wars. I know what you're like. You (like many here) some pseudo martial artist, when your taking time off for being a full time computer geek. What you write is ridiculous. Katas are nothing more than writing down the styles techniques in a book. So give that a rest. I'm not as pissed off now as I was, but I still hope you go grapple some clown while his mate smashes a bottle over your head. Bet all that ball tickling comes in handy then. Go **** yourself.

I wonder what would happen if we put jwalker, Peedee, Kungfoolss, and KungFuDoesWork in the octagon and lowered a roof over it, then told them,

"Only one of you is coming out alive."

KFSS and jwalker would be right out, I think, unless they teamed up and caught KFDW and Peedee fighting. Otherwise, the battle would rest on Peedee's real fighting savvy vs. KFDW's martial tactics & kwoon skills.

Any ideas?

Well, he is right about Kata's. They're just a form of pre-written record. They couldn't take photographs. There certainly isn't much point anymore, but some do add to the historical flavor. BTW, I don't practice any arts with katas.
