Dolph wasn't so bad after all

    Hey all,

I was just watching the new Punisher flick, with Thomas Jane in it (and for those of you who haven't seen it yet, it's pretty damn good).

But while watching it, I couldn't help but think about that other Punisher flick that was made over 10 years earlier..the one with Dolph Lundgren.

I remember reading an article about how Dolph was a bad choice for the role and he stank the movie up....but after watching both movies, I can't help but disagree.

I honestly don't think Dolph was a bad choice for the role of the Punisher. He did a pretty good job of acting all sullen and melancholic, just as Thomas Jane did in the new flick.

I dunno...the old movie sucked balls. But if anyone can be blamed, it's the writers.

    Meh...maybe I'm just babbling.

It was hardly his fault that the script was so bad.

Jane got a better script, and did more with it.

Also, I wanted to lick him.

He's quite possibly one of the most underrated actors of all time.

Yeah the writing for the old one was horrible, I want to shoot however wrote the scene where needlessly lures a bum out with a remote control car with a bottle of booze attached to it, who would ever do something like that, much less the punisher?

I beleive hes won three international karate titles and two european kickboxing ones, that would make him twice as legit as many purely 'martial arts' movie stars wouldnt it?

Put this under the movies you're ashamed to admit liking but I liked the flick he and Bruce's kid did... Plus it had Tia Carrere and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa in it
