    Guys,

Ben was technically right. What you hit on the variously angled presses are secondary and tertiary muscles. You use different ranges of motion for each angle as well, which means different weights and reps. But overall, for explosive power, the bar is best. Dumbells are more for building definition and form. My workout is about 20% chest (because I'm vain), 40% back, and then 20% legs and 20% arms and shoulders.

But as long as whatever you're doing is working for you, then don't waste braincells trying to change other peoples' minds.
    Regards,

Personally I prefer dips and then weighted dips. Not much of a wight trainer and besides I don't have time. My martial arts training is plenty.

Not to change the subject here but just going to share a peice of information given to me. Apparently climbing rope is a great way to define upper body muscle and build strength. Just using your arms, letting your legs hang free to pull you up and lower you down a 12 meter rope. I heard this from a Ju Jutsu instructor from Japan. I know it may not be convienitant to have 12 meters of free space to hang a rope off but it builds muscle in the same way apes do when they climb up and down trees. The proof is in the pudding to because this guy is as strong a bull, really ripped too.
