Personally I prefer dips and then weighted dips. Not much of a wight trainer and besides I don't have time. My martial arts training is plenty.
Not to change the subject here but just going to share a peice of information given to me. Apparently climbing rope is a great way to define upper body muscle and build strength. Just using your arms, letting your legs hang free to pull you up and lower you down a 12 meter rope. I heard this from a Ju Jutsu instructor from Japan. I know it may not be convienitant to have 12 meters of free space to hang a rope off but it builds muscle in the same way apes do when they climb up and down trees.
