    Hi, Im new, this is my first post but correct me if Im wrong but I think you used to do American Kenpo right? If so what did you think of it?

    Can't speak for PD, but I've gotten the impression that Kenpo can be a pretty decent TMA if taught right. It's definitely up there with the more practical ones.

    By the way, had to change the %& to ** in your name, for server reasons.

    I only took Kenpo for a VERY little bit when I was younger. ed Parker was a good inspiration for the martial arts though. He didn't buy into all the wacky mysticism and was trying to make a practical style of self defense that didn't hide behind bullshiit.

    I do agree with you guys, and yes thats a big point I try to make to some people, that it needs to be taught right. It can be a great system. I had a bad experience with EPAK, mostly the fault of my own teacher. I abandoned the system all together, mainly because there are too many people that have a bad influence on kenpo and are pushing it in the wrong way. Also, I found another system that I feel is better for my needs.

    there are different types of kenpo/kempo. but its two different words for the same thing. only the english language makes them different with the "m" and "n"
