    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    so taekwondo joint locks?

Verdicts from the grapplers in here? Looks not too far off the stuff I used to see in the Booj or Aikido, but then, it doesn't look as relaxed as Aikido.

Heck I dont even know of any taekwondo schools that even train this stuff

A lot of generic karate styles like Taekwondo teach various bad takedowns and jointlocks to "advanced" students. I learned how to perform a bad Osoto-Gari in Tang Soo Do.

    It's mostly Hapkido.

Not uncommon techniques, at least back in the 80's, in the self-defense part of TKD curriculum.

We learned techniques like this in TKD and Karate for self defence as well. Just like in there, with 0% resistance, Rex Kwon Do/Master Ken fashion.

The 1st TKD self defence technique I ever learned on my first night was an armbar where you grabbed a punchers fist, turned your back to them, and jared their elbow on your shoulder. Highly effective against grapplers!! (Edit: Obviously without the proper technique that you'd learn in Judo, or even JJJ)

This is the infamous Hapkido flavored LimpWristic RagDoll Style found in TKD dojangs across the world. Sometimes they call it Hapkido sometimes it is just TKD. That video is bad. Real bad.

Lol did you point out that that grapplers dont usually throw punches as a means of exibiting their style?

Was stopped at a set of lights near home and saw a tkd dojang with the roller door up doing ‘self defence’ training. Guy was teaching a horse bite (pinch to inner thigh) as a defence against think it was either rear naked choke or bear hug from behind, either way it wouldnt work. I wasnt surprised, it was a franchise school with alot of locations, the kind thats main source of income is by teaching kids.
