That would Dao. 'Do' is a Japanese term that was used to signify sport. Since it was first coined with Judo and Kendo. It had since been used to mean more spiritual type meaning of "the way" such as Aikido and Hapkido. However, its origin is still meant for sport martial arts.Originally posted by fang shen do

Not to pick bones, and certainly not to support a crappy ma, but 'do' is in fact the cantonese pronunciation. 'Dao'4 is the mandarin pronunciation.Originally posted by miguksaram

This still does not explain shaolin do. "Shaolin do" sounds stupid in any language.
Why Bruce Lee used 'Do' in the name of his style, don't know, but who cares?
The 'Do' vs 'Jutsu' thing doesn't seem to be a universal truth, just a "most of the time" rule.
