    Hell yeah! Hell no!
After I put my next video up, I think I might start a second channel where I just talk about comic books.

Get some of that ***** nerd money.

Edit: ^ I guess that's kind of what I'm already doing by antagonizing Aikidoka, though.

Obviously you haven't read the book, or watched the movie, or watched the TV show.

In the book and movie, he's a black javelin thrower, who eventually wins over the most racist surgeon of the 4077, Duke Forrest (played in the movie by Tom Skerritt).
Yeah, but in the end the book is written by a white dude who is trying to write the characters as being tolerant. I expect that may come off as the teensiest bit patronizing to black readers. There's similar stuff in another 70s book turned movie (also written by a white guy) called "Semi-tough", where the white main characters, pro football players, casually use "******" and other generally insulting words to refer to their black team-mates. It was all supposed to be very funny and read that way to me when I was a white kid in the 70s with zero exposure to black people except for TV and movies, not so much now. Again, I expect black readers may not take it as he intended.

You should just read the book, then watch the movie, then binge-watch the whole TV series, brother. It's soul food like no other.

What was more American, Black, Asian, and Human than the 4077? It's based on real Korean war stories...don't dismiss it.

"Spear chucker" was, in fact, an expert javelin master, on top of being an expert (yet humble) neurosurgeon. AND, football team clinch player. My hero.

The irony is what's most important in life.

    Necro, necro.
My kids and I have been watching the Iron Fist series.
I'm not familiar with the comic book series.
But, I wonder if the character would not have been more interesting with a half asian backstory (perhaps an Asian mother),
played a serious Asian young male actor, who also was one of those real life Wushu champions from a young age, like Jackie Chan was and Jet Li was before they started their larger big screen careers.
I am reminded of Paul Mooney making the joke about "Tom Cruise" being the last Samurai.
I think Netflix blew it on the casting opportunity.
