So does UFC have something to worry about? With K1 getting into MMA? ****, I liked the good old UFC1 days.

Maybe, mayybe not. So far the K-1 MMA stuff is only in Japan and Pride has not found wide acceptance here either. Most people in America think UFC is the only MMA game out there.
It's not that UFC will be replaced by K-1, but if they can't keep top fighters, people may stop watching and there will cease to be MMA in the States.

That would suck, if all the MMA was in japan, and no one in north america was top level.

It doesn't look like this K1 MMA event will be available on PPV here on my carrier (although I'd love to be proven wrong).

It's only available in Japan.

If K-1 is offering more money, he should go for it Omega did a pay break down a little while back, and all the Japanese outfits paid better than the U.S. ones did. Combine that with the desire to have exclusive contracts, it pretty much invalidates fighters hoping the fence from one event to the other once they are a top name.

I'm not faulting him at all. One of the instructors at my gym is a friend of BJ's and told me that he felt it was the best thing for Penn to do. I just liked seeing him fight in the UFC.
