i'd love to return your gesture, unfortunately your post isn't even worth it. the points you outlined in ghost's OP were lumped into physical aptitude. sorry that was beyond you.

also, american football fulfills all the benefits you listed so is that the next martial art you want to try? bill duff once used it to win a sambo fight.
The thread Ghost responded to was about martial arts. Football isn't a martial art.

ghost's point: capoeira is effective for real word fight training due to points a, b, c (none of which include actual fighting) and shouldn't be labelled as ineffective in a thread about practicing ineefective arts

iwm's point: if non-martial activities equally prepare individual for points a, b, c (none of which include actual fighting), capoeira is not effective art for fighting and it's dumb to argue otherwise in a thread about non-street effective arts

    In one sense, you're right.

In another sense, you're being a bit of a fag.

That doesn't follow. If capoeira gives you athleticism, co ordination etc, and if these are useful for fighting, then there is a benefit to capoeira for fighting. Whether or not you can get that benefit elsewhere is irrelevant; the utility of BJJ is not diminished by the fact that Judo is also an effective grappling style.
If capoeira gave you as much benefit as a non-martial activity like, say, powerlifting, it would absolutely be worth cross training in

    You need more than that.
Maybe start by reading the stuff you intend to quote?

The title of the thread might help too.
