    Lots of the time I felt like I was left to twist in the wind, but I knew how the whole process challenges the player to find their own reality in the ideas. That's how a person keeps their understanding current and within their ability to demonstrate on the spot without a lot of theoretical bullshit.
    It sounds like what you're saying here is 'Try stuff out, see how well it works for you so you can lay the smack down whenever you want'. Which makes sense, but it's not limited to any martial art, pretty much any effective training method is similar.
    Granted I could be misunderstanding your post, since reading it is like listening to one of those LaRouche for President radio commercials.
