Of the single rapier fight between valiant men, having both skill, he that is the best wrestler, or if neither of them can wrestle, the strongest man most commonly kills the other, or leaves him at his mercy.

I made it about 3 minutes in. I can't take any more stupidity.

    Nice find.

The phenomenon of stupid people being wrong and wondering why.

    "I thought it was Berenstain!"
    "It wasn't.
"No, I definitely remember -stain and not -stein."
    "Here's one of the books."
"They must have changed it, because I know it used to be..."
"Look at the fucking publishing information, this book is from 1976."
"Well, there must be some reason I remember Berenstain."
"Yes, there is, you're a halfwit."
"No, look, here's a picture on the Internet, see!"
    "That's photoshopped, you pants-stain."
"No, there must be an alternate reality, where it's spelled -stain, and the memory has leaked through."
"You bet on pro wrestling, your opinions of the nature of the multiverse are not really relevant to anything."
    "Systema, which means, 'the system'..."

You got it backwards, people think it's BerenstEin. Stein is a much more common name than stain, after all.

It's the easiest mistake in the world to make.

People tend to look at words as a whole rather than anally examining every single letter. The subconscious fills in the gaps with whatever feels right, which can easily result in an error when you're dealing with an uncommon name that's similar to something you're more familiar with.

    Berenestain, Berenstein, Bernstein, etc.

Yes, otherwise, you couldn't read a typo. The fact the answer is so simple and obvious is what makes the theory stupid, not the error in memory.

Fucking "Luke, I am your father."

That ****'s been misquoted for years (Either deliberately or inadvertently) just for the sake of context.

First time I remembered it misquoted was in Tommy Boy, and it jarred my ears. I assume it was changed so you'd know he was supposed to be doing the Vader voice. I don't know how that one spread, if you were of that era, that quote is ingrained pretty hard.
