Questions for you Americans....

Im an aussie so I dont know much about you guys..

1.Are there THAT many obese people over there?

2.Are there that many *gangstas* over there?

3.Do many people get shot over there(considering the loose gun laws)?

4.What is the general feeling about the Iraq war and Bush?

5.How bad is racism against blacks asians etc?

MUT: I'm an aussie too. As regards to 1, look around you. Last time I heard, 33% of kids now are classified as obese. What makes you ask about it?

Ive been hearing that heaps of kids in america are obese........not fat.....obese.

And yes there are a lot of fat aussies....... we arent really the bushman were hyped to be anymore:p

I was under the impression that obese meant "morbidly overweight"

1. Yes, there are probably more obese people in the US than are people total in Australia (obese in the medical sense)

2. In inner cities there are gangs, and in the country there's still militias and hate groups (if you have half a brain you can steer clear of gangs by just not going to certain areas)

3. Yes, I'm sure it's on the internet somewhere, I heard once that more people get shot in LA every year than in all of Europe, whether it has to do with gun laws is debatable

4. Read some of the threads on it in off-topic

5. Depends on the areas, blacks/asians can answer it better than me but I would say that there is still racism out there but I bet it's not nearly as pervasive or bad as it was 50 years ago, and I think it's getting better everyday as those old racists and their ilk die out and our generation takes over

btw, obesity is based off of your BMI, body mass index, technically I'm obese but then again most people are, to not be obese I'd have to be 185 at my 6' which ain't fuckin happening this century. So basically in the medical sense overweight=obesity
