Mouthfire... I really apreciate the concern. I don't think its that serious though. My pupils aren't dialated on a regular basis, and I know what its like to be concussed and I don't get hit that bad. But I'm still concerned more for the long term I guess... how do you spar?

Boxers have it the worst. MMA guys don't nearly get hit in the head as much. Even in training. I think you'll be fine, but by all means, be cautious.

Just do me a favor and see a doctor if anything persists, or gets worse...

your pupils are dilated because you're excited and releasing adrenaline when you fight.
i used to get those headaches too. then i got better at defending my head. now i rarely get hit cleanly and i can take the hits i get, so i don't have the problem anymore.
try telling your partners to ease up on you until you get your bearings.
the prime sign of a concussion is loss of memory. if you have that, i would take some time off to recover.

Does talking in monosyllabic grunts count? I thought it was an adrenaline aftereffect. ;)

This got covered pretty well in this thread:

Thanks bunyip, will re-read it. Was too lazy to read it the first time. :(

Actually, I did read it. I remember now. The hits must be affecting my memory already! :(
