Why this way instead of what I think is called a leg pick?
Is it just the entry? Because the second pic looks very close to what I'm just going to call a leg pick. This was the first take down I ever started having any success with. Difference being I wouldn't "dive" down like that. Just start moving in close with my guard up, crowding him a bit or better yet enter with a punching combo that leaves your left arm out at the end of it. Drop the elbow down and sort of put my whole forearm across his upper chest so my left hand it angled up and to the right of his face. Step in with the left leg almost exactly like in the second pic and scoop up his right leg with the back of his knee resting in the crook of my elbow.
The only other change that seems to help me is IF I can get there, stepping that left foot kind of just behind his right makes dumping him a lot easier.Fighting evil and upholding justice in blue silk pajamas baby!

Dochter; you know there's no such thing as the absolute, I like this follow through just in case and you can only do it if they allow it unlike in kickboxing. Hence the title of the thread "advance for MMA fighters"
