Technique of the month; intermediate leg kick counter.

You're going to start this one by moving parallel to your opponent away from the power of his kick. As you can see in the picture I lifted my right leg in order to kick his inside thigh and you may end up taking part of the kick (couldn't get a decent picture of this so please use your imagination)

When you kick into his leg you're going to attempt to go through it, push with your opposite hand if neccessary. It not only injures the inside thigh but he may fall down because of the sweeping action.

When we train this one we just go for the inner thigh kick and rely on movement to avoid the attacking kick. What do you think are the problems with that?

I guess you do get hit but there is no power in it from your movement and attacking the base leg.

Omega, I wasn't clear on the first part, are you saying to move toward the kicking leg to jam it up or away from it toward the kickers standing leg?

So the point is to either take down your opponent or take out the opponent's mobility?
