Chitown McThrowdown?

I'm getting the sense that there are a lot of us based in Chicago, yes?

Well, we should have a Throwdown!

I lack both an available gym and a video camera, the two essentials of a Throwdown. I have a gi and upright sparring gear, however, and can bring my upright game as well as my pathetic n00b grapp4l to the mat, to learn what I can.

Lets just get a show of hands and maybe we can find a venue...

Who is interested in a Chicago McThrowdown sometime this summer?

Sounds good. I too lack the gym, but I bet we can find someone. I have a Hi-8 camcord to film. Sorry not rich enough to afford the digicamcord yet. :)

I'm up for it. Don't know if I can get a gym either and my basement, while 1200 sq. ft. only has 8 ft. ceilings.

The last weekend in July is out for me. Going to a Vunak seminar in TN.

Would anyone be interested in renting out the Japanese Cultural Center in Palatine? I understand it would be around $100. I'd be open to ponying up $20 for a McThrowdown...

SlimJim: Is the downtown location for rent? Belmont is both easy to reach via public transportation and close to the action for running about later on...
