New Shamrock versus Gracie:
It shocked the thousands in attendance at Rumble on the Rock this weekend. There they were again. A Gracie and a Shamrock talking smack in the middle of a cage. It was a scene out of 1993, when older brother Ken talked with Cesar's cousin, Royce about who was better.
This weekend the Rumble on the Rock flew in Cesar Gracie and Frank Shamrock to announce their upcoming fight in August. There was plenty of trash talk between the two fighters.
In one exchange Ceasar Gracie said "We all know what happens when a Gracie faces a Shamrock, Gracie's ALWAYS win"...which drew ah's and oh's from the crowd. Shamrock then followed up with "You sure like to talk boy for someone who has never fought in the cage before..."
Those were just a couple of exchanges between the two fighters. This fight was supposed to happen before. World Extreme Cagefighting had the two verbally committed and Gracie signed the contract. For whatever reason Shamrock didn't end up signing to fight. Now this fight is being talked about, possibly on pay per view in the first weekend of August. Gracie still is waiting.
Cesar told MMAWeekly "I flew to Hawaii to sign a contract. I did my end of the bargain, but I still don't think Frank has signed. I will believe it when I see it."

Uhm, didn't a gracie beat a Shamrock once and then proceed to get a horrible ass kicking in the rematch? And that's when I figured out that tears couldn't make somebody who was dead alive again. There's another thing to learn about tears, they can't make somebody who doesn't love you any more love you again. It's the same with prayers. I wonder how much of their lives people waste crying and praying to God. If you ask me, the devil makes more sense than God does. I can at least see why people would want him around. It's good to have somebody to blame for the bad stuff they do. Maybe God's there because people get scared of all the bad stuff they do. They figure that God and the Devil are always playing this game of tug-of-war game with them. And they never know which side they're gonna wind up on. I guess that tug-of-war idea explains how sometimes, even when people try to do something good, it still turns out bad.

no, the second match was a draw. Royce got caught once or twice, but it was mainly uneventful..."Training = pain." - I said that.
PizDoff when drunk: "I'm actually MOST pissed that my target for the evening got drink...then I gave her my Bullshido Canada hoodie like a gentleman because she was outside with not much on...did I mention she barfed twice when I got our jackets...steaming barf is kinda fascinating..." - PizDoff.

Pro-wrestling rocks, dammit!
It's ok, a bit of trashtalk is needed...we trash talk all the time here! And we're the real deal! Right?!?
"Na'h, they should go to old school rules.
One guy gets sword and sheild, the other gets a net and a trident.

And I agree with greese1 assesment of the Ken vs. Royce superfight. Yes technically the fight was a draw, but on look at the two fighters at the end showed who was the beaten man. Just like Royce vs. Yoshida II.

Boxing has had LOADS of trash talk. I guess not many members here can remember the Thrilla In Manilla, or the Ali- Frazier stuff (I'm not old enough either, but i've seen clips LOL). Frazier and Ali took trash talk to a level far beyond anyting the Gracies have EVER done.
They brought RACE into it!

MMA needs to do what it needs to do to promote the event, especially smaller lesser known promotions. Most people don't give a **** Frank Shamrock is fighting Ceasar Gracie.
