I saw this exact topic discussed ad nauseum before McDojo was even a wet dream for a young 'I Choke You'.
Can't you get off Omega's nuts long enough to think about this for a minute?
Are you going to try to convince me that most people that do Judo don't know about Ippon?

Ippon is very common in Judo.
It is not common at all in Sambo.
I would assume that his record only includes street fights, BJJ and MMA matches, because I believe he lost in Judo as well.
And that's when I figured out that tears couldn't make somebody who was dead alive again. There's another thing to learn about tears, they can't make somebody who doesn't love you any more love you again. It's the same with prayers. I wonder how much of their lives people waste crying and praying to God. If you ask me, the devil makes more sense than God does. I can at least see why people would want him around. It's good to have somebody to blame for the bad stuff they do. Maybe God's there because people get scared of all the bad stuff they do. They figure that God and the Devil are always playing this game of tug-of-war game with them. And they never know which side they're gonna wind up on. I guess that tug-of-war idea explains how sometimes, even when people try to do something good, it still turns out bad.

One of the things I take issue with about the Rickson legend is that he has never been bested in BJJ, even by a memeber of his own family. Maybe they mean in "official competition", but you can't tell me that no one ever tapped him in training even behind closed doors.

He didn't sub him, so who cares ?

Dudes! I was just confirming about the SAMBO loss. I'm not defending crap. Hell even Helio doesn't really admit to his two lossess over the years. I guess it runs in the family. I've competed in 4 SAMBO competitions. In two of those competitions the rules suddenly became modified to help out the competitors, which at this particular time were freestyle wrestlers.
Jeez.....I'm off to drink more coffee.

An Ippon is an Ippon and Everyone knows that.

Okay guys let me say this then. Uchi Mata is not an "Ippon" throw in SAMBO. They must've changed the rules. A total victory throw is defined when a competitor completely is thrown by another competitor over the body and the thrown competitor lands on his back. These are defined as only being done by the following throws: Shoulder throw (Ippon Seoi Nage), Standing fireman throw, or what they call a sambo suplex. So no, Rickson was within his right to say that he didn't know that that particular throw would give that person a "Total Victory" throw option.
So for clarification I believe that Rickson was not arguing that he didn't know about total victory throw, as I erronouesly (sp) stated, but rather that Uchi Mata counted as a total victory throw.

As for Little Idea...*shrug* Call me a nutrider if you want. Considering I've met omega and have some idea of the quality of his credentials? Like I said...I trust he has reasons behind what he says.
