there is a "po-pai"(one of heihachi's attack) strike which is a double palm strike with one palm pointing upwards and the other downwards
Doesn't that leave your head exposed for a counter? There is an illegal boxing punch that is similar, it forces the guy to spit his gum shield. I forget the name but its kind of like the heinick(sp?) maneuver.

double palm strike to the ears or to the temples. imagine crushing a melon; not likely to crush the skull but you get the picture.

we also practice knife hand to the neck (45 degrees from the center) or just ippon nukite (single knuckle) to the adams apple. these moves are practiced in self defense, usually start with a quick counter and a strike (one count).

I love MA. Unlike many things in life, you get what you put in.

the po-pai movement comes from the wooden dummy so it it is an advanced movement so i am not sure about the exact application of it.But i am assuming it would be done where the arms of opponent are unable to hit while its being done.

Damn that Bas Rutten highlight clip on Sherdog is nutty. Is that Shamrock who gets the palmstrike to the leg and goes down like a ton of bricks?

Love palms, only knife hand i like is a reverse one to the juggular/adams apple.

They work. Even I can do them
    What am I?:

I am ignorant, thieving, lying, hypocrital, violent and thoroughly self obssessed. I steal from others to make myself look better, only to make the item or information worse.

I go on and on and ON about how brave and strong and brilliant and wealthy I am, but in the end I'm all mouth and no trousers.

That's right children, I'm your average AMERICUNT! and I exemplify AMERICA!:911flag:

Yes, through persistent lack of work and the cultivation of ignorance, he is a true American.
