Hey, I know that. I am trying to find a way to keep my fingers from bending towards the target.Originally posted by ronin69
Keeping you finger extended while hitting with the heel of your palm is not physically difficult, its a good way of getting your finger bent and dislocated.
That help ?
Lawyers ....
Or do you suggest contracting my fingers?
In fact, I believe the problem is that my wrist tends to move a bit, so my palm does not get into a perfect 90 degress angle when compared to the floor. I think I have to work on my wrist first. That civilisation may not sink,

I was considering that, yes, but my sifu usually makes us use open hands when practicing palm strikes. Thanks...I guess.Originally posted by ronin69
Your fingers will bend towards that target, you ***** !!
Take the pain !!!!
Or, you can always curl the fingers in till they touch you hand, like some Karate styles do.That civilisation may not sink,

Not really, I mostly practice vertical stright punches, as a good WC boy. But we do practice palm strikes once in a while (at WC, not MT, where we use boxing gloves).Originally posted by ronin69

Of course not! That would be incredibly stupid! But we do launch straight palm strikes - i.e. we don´t move our shoulders, same as straight punches.Originally posted by ronin69
Do you keep the fist vertical with the palm heels too ??
Well, at least I think it is incredibly stupid. I never heard of a vertical palm strike. That civilisation may not sink,
