He's said he's not having the surgery. His knee was back to the general long term state it's been in, and I guess he's not big on surgery in general.

In interviews he's said he'd already decided not to have the procedure done, before he got the JJ fight.

What he will get is a full three month camp. That's more bad news for Bones. DC was going to be a rough matchup after a short camp for Daniel...now?

    DC by oblique kicks :)

Hmm yeah, I'll take that on board. JJ's outrageous behaviour stemming from the subconscious panic that DC has his number.

    I like that.

I find it ironic that he was fine for the press brawl but now can't fight but after going back to training anything could happen hence my not saying he's faking it for sure.
In general people seem very reluctant to say "I don't believe him because..." or "he is faking because..." Instead the comments keep going around with silly innuendo, scare quotes, or "he is not faking it for sure" type responses.

I would have more respect for straightforward accusations or calls for independent medical reviews. If people really feel strong about it, let's get straight to the point: All training camp injuries verified with independent medical exam. Fake injuries lose title shot for contenders; vacate belt for champions.

I assume this cancellation is going to cost a lot of people a lot of money, and that they would probably want something stronger than a sick note with his mum's signature forged in crayon before calling the thing off.

What is the standard bit of evidence they use?

Ticket refunds are now available. Are you referring to any other costs?

    What other costs?

I addition to the cost of the refunds, they'll get much less buyers for the pay per view I suppose. Hype probably won't be as high by the time this thing actually happens.

Oh, I thought you meant costs for the viewers.

Anyway, it would be silly to assume that the UFC does NOT double check fighter injuries.
