    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Some sparring footage from this week's MMA class

Here's a short promo video featuring some sparring from our MMA class earlier this week. MMA is still pretty much a nascent sport in Malta, so you won't be seeing UFC level of fighters, but enthusiasm is high and we've got a good bunch of guys who have been trainining regularly between a few months to a couple of years now :)

You mean the bit at 00:38? The shirtless guys with black and white/blue shorts?

The bit at 00:38, the guy who tried the guillottine was doing his first ever MMA sparring round. He's from a boxing background and hasn't been training long in grappling :)

The other guy who tried the guillottine was me! (black/red badboy rashguard). My opponent pushed me back against the cage, and thought I saw the opening for the guillottine, and that I could pull guard from there before he did the takedown....basically, wrong decision and I screwed up! hehe

I ended up paying for it as I spent most of the round trying to fend off his ground and pound, only managed to get up a few seconds before coach called time.
